Here are some videos of some of his most popular recordings.
Some are very old and you'll have to put up with the 'lip synching' - try to ignore it :-)
This first one shows Herb's appearance on The Carpenters Show in 1979.
This next video is the fabulous Taste of Honey - it was made in 1966 and is the one where Herb runs along the shoreline to play with the orchestra who are sat on the beach with the tide coming in around them - superb video - Health and Safety regulations wouldn't allow it now!!
This next one is Spanish Flea and dates from 1965. The video is taken in a bullfighting arena.
From the same show in 1965 Mexican Shuffle.
This is the 'Herb Guide' and I was getting loads of searches for Herb Alpert, so rather than disappoint my visitors, I've put these vidoes on!!
The music brings back happy memories for me of when I was quite young.
My dad was a sales rep and during the school holidays, I would go with him. I'd sit in the car, read and listen to the radio while my dad visited clients. This was during the early to mid 1960s when I was too young to leave home alone and they didn't want to put me in childcare.
