Herbal Remedy for Thinning Hair
A herbal remedy for thinning hair is onion and/or capsicum and rosemary.
Hair loss is caused by many factors - stress, genetic make-up, illness, surgery and chemical damage to name but a few.
A simple home remedy for male or female hair loss is to rub half an onion on the scalp prior to shampooing - it contains the mineral, sulphur, which is believed to promote the growth of hair.
Just leave the onion 'juice' on for about 20 minutes then shampoo thoroughly.
Likewise, capsicum - blend a whole pepper into a juicy pulp. Rub this into your scalp.
Leave about 20 minutes and then shampoo thoroughly.
Be careful not to get this in your eyes - it will burn like mad!
The capsicum is an irritant and will draw blood to the scalp and encourage the release of histamines thus promoting re-growth.
Rosemary is also known to stimulate the circulation of blood. You can either make an infusion or buy essential oil of rosemary.
If you buy the oil, then use it as a conditioner - rub into the scalp, wrap your hair in clingfilm for about 20 minutes prior to washing out.
If you want an infusion, then use it as a final rinse.
Rosemary will darken your hair, so if you're a blonde, be cautious about its use.
