Mystery Globules from Basil Plant

by Jack Walshe

I have been growing Basil on my windowsill for some months, very successfully,no problems until recently, each morning there are what can only be described as tiny globules of compost on the windowsill next to the plant pot.

These globules also stain where the land.

The compost appears to be dry on top as I water it each day from the bottom but the globules are very moist.

The plant is extremely healthy there are not any indications of infestation so what can be causing this problem?

One thing, although I rotate the plant, the mess is always in the same place.

Any ideas would be gratefully accepted.

Jack Walshe.
