Wild native Arknasas passionflower

A couple weeks ago I was out walking and ran upon these beautiful wild passionflower. I ate one of the fruit on the spot and gathered four, along with sme of the leaves, and brought them home to dry. The problem is that the fruit doesn't dry! I mean the outer shell does but when you open them up the pulpy seeds simply will not dry. I've had them laid out now for over a week and they are still as wet and pulpy as the day I laid them out. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to dry these seeds? Oh and another thing, it has been suggested to me by Alice Swanson that passionflower is very hard to grow from the seeds, any tips there?
